ABOUT PATTI
Patti (Lyons-Gooderham) Henderson is a Writer, Producer, Director and Editor who brings over 20 years of creativity and understanding of all aspects of production to all positions.
Her work has played at festivals nationally and internationally, broadcast on CBC, CTV, Bravo!, Knowledge, SCN and KTSC 9.
Her first drama, UP THE WALL (1997), was the FIRST Digital Video – 35mm project to be shot in Canada and financed by Sony Canada, B.C. Film, NFB – to showcase how Digital Filmmaking is the Wave of the future.
For CBC, Patti directed and edited, SALMON CHANTED EVENING. The film, a magic realism drama with a ‘touch of reality,’ was selected from over 350 scripts and produced in association with CBC and British Columbia Film. It aired on CBC’s ZED program and was nominated for seven LEO FILM AWARDS, winning for Best Editor and Best Sound Design.
Patti has since Produced/Directed over 30 Drama’s, commercials, PSA’s, Documentaries and Lifestyle programs and she is an alumna of WOMEN IN THE DIRECTOR’S CHAIR (WIDC) Program at The Banff Centre. She was one of eight emerging women directors selected from across Canada to participate in the program.
